Entertaining Season Already - Let's Party!
Despite the sweltering heat here in Charleston, I am SO ready for some fall hospitality!
I’m chomping at the bit to host some cozy gatherings and festive celebrations. And that means it’s time to make a plan!
Let’s start with one of the most important parts—the menu.
The Eats and Drinks
Hors d’oeuvres are a must, of course!
I can create a beautiful, delicious charcuterie board on this rustic wooden slab paired with stunning bone-handled cheese knives.
Local meats, cheeses, preserves, and of course, some nuts in a beautiful bowl on the side (for my husband’s beer-drinking buddies, obviously) will bring it all together!
For dinner, I’m thinking a perfectly tender London Broil cooked to perfection in a classic Dutch oven. And no dinner party is complete without a great wine selection—and water, of course!

The Table Setting
I love zhushing up my table with layers and textures when entertaining guests!
I always start with a thick, textured plate charger followed by a full-size dinner plate—usually something with a subtle design that complements the season. And, to top it all off, a statement piece like a decorative bowl or side plate. (You can check out my faves via the linked mood board!)
Next up: quality cloth napkins—preferably with monograms—and let’s not forget some elegant flatware.
Think of your table as a pretty lady; don’t you want to dress her up in style? She wants to show out!

Speaking of dressing up, tall candle holders and a lidded ginger jar make for a jaw-dropping centerpiece.
