Touches of the coast can be seen throughout this lovely home office created for a girl boss that transitions easily between this space and her main office in town at an historical textile mill. A cozy and casual spot that is agile and the vibe is an overall feeling of elegant casual meets a whole lot of comfort. We brought in some low lighting for a calming workspace…a beautiful environment in which to be comfortable yet productive.
Below: Light, bright, clean and casual were attributes we wanted to invoke so, after a palette of whites, neutrals, blues and greens were chosen, we were off to the races. Custom drapery panels soften the space and the jewel in the crown of this space is this elegant wooden beaded, hand-strung chandie that is the icing on the cake! And, yes, it’s dimmable…of course.
Below: Clients coming for a casual meeting are greeted at the entry way with the international symbol of hospitality, a pair of tapers in the flanking brass candle holders, that provide a bit of symmetry as you enter through the French doors.
Left: Michelle also created dual pairs of custom framed, original acrylic on paper of the beauty that surrounds this area of High Country. Art placement services are one of Michelles’ fortes as she not only customized the artwork to the space above the consoles at the entrance, but she is also a master picture framer and selects all of the moulding used and designs each piece for it’s placement in her interior projects.
Right: French doors open into a beautiful foyer area that allows the eye to travel straight through to a beautiful seating area arranged around a stone fireplace that goes all the way up the the apex of the vaulted ceiling. And the stunning mirror in the hallway is hiding a light switch that was placed in an odd location. The way that it is hung, though, allows the client to reach the toggle switch with ease. No more unsightly switch.
