Michelle Woolley Sauter is an award-winning Summerville-based interior designer specializing in historic renovations, new builds, and the art of helping clients arrive fully in a home that feels unmistakably theirs. With deep expertise in color, spatial layering, and the marriage of modern and traditional, she creates spaces that feel collected over time…never decorated overnight. Her background as a professional artist informs every finish selection, every art placement, every room that stops you in the doorway.
Having lived along the Eastern Seaboard for much of her life, Michelle brings a coastal intelligence to her work that is neither predictable nor generic…it is personal, layered, and built to last. She and her husband call Historic Downtown Summerville home, where she is currently restoring the 1859 Coburn Hutchinson House – a living testament to her belief that the most beautiful spaces honor the past while making every provision for the way we actually want to live today.
